About the User: this project was commissioned by a client
who resells IT equipment and provides associated services to government
agencies and corporate customers. In order to more effectively collaborate in the
procurement of specialist IT equipment, they implemented Monday.com. In a push to
make their internal processes more efficient, they then approached us to build
an integration between QuoteWerks.
Project Brief: in the absence of an existing integration between
QuoteWerks and Monday.com, and following a recommendation from their QuoteWerks reseller,
the client approached us as ‘the people to go to’ for QuoteWerks development
services. The client wanted to use QuoteWerks to initiate the Board Item in
Monday.com which would then serve as the focal point for collaboration between them
and the IT equipment OEM in delivering the order. The summary brief
for the project therefore was to read Board, Customer and User information from Monday.com and
create a Board Item back.
Features:
- Reading Board, Customer and User details from Monday.com.
- Writing a Board Item to Monday.com on request from a QuoteWerks Tools menu option.
- A comprehensive set of Configuration options to allow field mappings to be modified, etc.
Benefits:
- A considerable amount of time saved and accuracy improved creating Sales Orders as opposed to manually copy/pasting or exporting/importing between the two systems.
- Once configured, due to the simplicity of the User triggered processes, it is very easy to train users on the features.
- Additional functions which work seamlessly with QuoteWerks’ and Monday.com’s out-of-the-box features.
