There is a discrepancy in the VAT values displayed in QuoteWerks and Sage.
|
Cause |
QuoteWerks and Sage apply different rules when calculating VAT which can cause discrepancies between documents created in each system.
If a document is created in QuoteWerks with two line items for £1 each, QuoteWerks will calculate the total VAT as £0.35. If a similar document is created in Sage, the total VAT will be calculated as £0.36. Whether the document is created by ConnectIt-Sage50 or by manually typing in a document, this discrepancy between the two systems is to be expected and is not a ConnectIt-Sage50 issue directly.
|
Resolution |
Once the payment is received, ConnectIt-Sage50 users should use the Write Off, Refunds and Returns Wizard to “Write Off the Customer Transactions below a value” to balance the books. This solution both balances the books and satisfies accounts auditing requirements.
