The Configuration for your ConnectIt-Sage50 is stored on each Users local PC in two “.xml” files called cit_main and cit_doc. By default, these would be installed to and updated in the C:\Program Files\Hilltops IT\ConnectIt\ folder on your computer (32-bit operating systems), C:\Program Files (x86)\Hilltops IT\ConnectIt\ (64-bit operating systems), C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Hilltops IT\ConnectIt\ or ‘Virtual Store’ (operating systems with UAC switched on).
In order to ensure you copy the correct and most up-to-date configuration files from the ConnectIt-Sage50 installation folder on an existing workstation to a new workstation, we recommend that you open the ConnectIt-Sage 50 Configuration utility from Start | All Programs |ConnectIt-Sage Configuration utility, click ‘Save’ and then close the utility. Once done, then search for the cit_doc.xml and cit_main.xml files on the user’s workstation; if the files have today’s date, then you will know you have the correct file locations.
Once you have established where the files are, then copy the Configuration files from the existing Users workstation to the new workstation overwriting the default files which are placed there. You can then reopen the ConnectIt-Sage50 Configuration on the new workstation and edit any details (such as the Sage logon details) if required).
